The Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund III (HEERF III) is authorized by the American Rescue Plan (ARP), Public Law 117-2, signed into law on March 11, 2021, providing $39.6 billion in support to institutions of higher education to serve students and ensure learning continues during the COVID-19 pandemic.
ARP funds are in addition to funds authorized by the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2021 (CRRSAA), Public Law 116-260 and the Coronavirus Aid, Recovery, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, Public Law 116-136. Emergency funds available to institutions and their students under all emergency funds total $76.2 billion.

The law requires that these one-time relief grants be awarded to students with exceptional need. To determine exceptional need, 麻豆传媒官网 will be distributing funds based upon a student鈥檚 Pell eligibility using the most recent Expected Family Contribution (EFC code) on file with the school.

Checks will be available to pick up from the campus at which you enrolled. You will receive an email stating the dates and times you can pick up your check.
Please remember to bring a photo ID in order to receive your grant funds.聽You cannot have anyone pick up the check on your behalf.聽If you cannot pick up your check yourself, please contact us so that we can make arrangements to mail it.
A student who elects to have a portion of the HEERF III grant disbursed to his or her account must sign a consent form. Please email聽Lisa Lye. This is only if you owe cash payments to Hunter. We will not be sending back money toward your student loan.
Eligible students will receive an email giving them instructions on completing a Google Form and completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA庐), if necessary.
As of December 31, 2021, approximately two thousand students have received a grant under the Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds (HEERF I, II, and III) totaling $2,120,180.
