The school is closed at both campuses for Independence Day. Since July 4 falls on a Saturday this year, the national holiday is celebrated the day before, on Friday, to give people who are normally off work on Saturdays a chance to celebrate. There are no classes in celebration of Independence Day, a federal holiday commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence in 1776.
